(in the style of jwz)
I want a new mouse and keyboard. A wireless mouse would be nice, but I don't want a wireless keyboard as I never move it and changing the batteries would be more of a hassle than the cable. The keyboard should be standard 10x keys, straight, and boring. Preferably quiet. Colour is unimportant.
There does not appear to be a wired keyboard with wireless mouse combo. Why not? They could put the wireless receiver in the keyboard and save space.
Am I the only one who thinks this way? Surely wireless keyboards have a limited market? Is this all a grand conspiracy by the AA battery manufacturers?
Thanks,
Bruce

You and your obsession with straight keyboards. Buy an MS 4000 and drink the Kool-Aid with the rest of the cool kids.
Also, Evoluent Vertical Mice are disgustingly hard to use, but they do, regrettably, reduce RSI. Shame.
I'd say they reduce RSI because they're just so damned hard to use, so you don't use it at all. :)
Bruce, I just bought a Logitech DiNovo Edge for the Mrs. They do a rechargeable keyboard (She got the older, non-rechargeable one). Flat as a pancake.
Currently, she is using an older logitech wireless keyboard, and has never had to replace the batteries. Well over a year now.
Oftentimes, I swing my hand off the keyboard and back to use the mouse, I knock the damn thing with the base of my palm and send it flying. Happens far too often.
